When Coaching Little Athletes , great care must be taken not to over manipulate your child. Just because various athletes may have different mechanisms, the Coach must be very careful not to throw out a deemed "fault" but instead must assess whether this apparent fault, is in fact a Gem for a particular athlete. When coaching Hurdlers technique the overall target is to see that the hips move fluently across the bar. When coaching Sprinters technique the overall target is to get the athlete consistently through The Acceleration Phase - Top Speed Phase - and into the final Holding Phase . There are literally thousands of biomechanical components to be fitted together like a Jig-Saw Puzzle, in order to perfect any athlete, and it takes The " Eye of a Master Coach" to perfect this transition: GREAT CARE MUST BE TAKEN TO KEEP LITTLE ATHLETES WANTING TO COME TO TRAINING AND NOT FEELING AS THOUGH THEY ARE PRESSURED AT ANY STAGE OF THEIR LEARNING.
